Lounging Outside

The key to lounging outside when it's 100 degrees is....airflow.

You need to position yourself for maximum exposure to any possible gust of wind.

Notice how I have maximized the exposure of my fur to the air? This, my friends is how to lounge outside in the heat.

Lounging Advice - Be quick!

When an opportunity presents itself. Take it! When you want to lounge at a certain spot, just do it, before the chance slips away. Here I take advantage of my dad's feet. They are in just the right position for me.

Lounging Advice

As additional advice for those of you looking to perfect your lounging skills, you must remember that the where is not as important as the relaxation. Pick a spot, and then relax all your muscles. The enjoyment comes from relaxing, not from the location.

Humoring Mama

Sometimes humans make you do things because they think it's cute. For instance, my little brother is being given a bath. He's not flexible enough to lick himself clean like I do. Poor little guy has to get a bath a lot!

Then my human mama comes up with the idea that putting me in the bath with him will look cute! Ugh! Can you just see the excitement on my face?


In any case, I humored her for a moment, then I got out.

However, I will admit that any photograph with me in it is obviously cute.

Lounging...or Guarding?

I just posted about how good I am at relaxing. However, did you also realize that I am very good at multi-tasking? This is true. Dogs are inherently good at multi-tasking. For instance, here I am lounging in the hallway.

But wait! Behind that door, my dad is hard at work. While he is working, he can't be disturbed. So while it appears that I am lounging, I am in fact guarding the door so that my dad will be left alone to work.

As I said, I'm good at multi-tasking.
