So, here's a question...
Do you, or how much do you, or should you, or how much should you tip at the groomers? My mom has taken me to several different places, and she wants to know?
Any thoughts??

When I took Niki to the groomer, I tipped $20. The bill was $61. I tipped that much because Niki bit me a couple months ago because she was in bad arthritis pain. I knew that she was sensitive, so I warned the groomers repeatedly. She behaved well, but got cranky at the end.
Well, I have never been to the groomers, but I have had a haircut or two in my time. For a $6.25 dollar haircut I tip $2.00 If it has been a really long time since I've had a haircut or I just got off work and my hair is really gross I might tip more. I have been going to the same barber for alomost 5 years. If I go to someone new I only tip if they do a good job.
Tip...
Tips???
Me glad there is no such a thing in Japan. There is new law now... all prices must show total cost (including any taxes). This make for a much easier shopping experience ;)
When Mommy takes me to the salon here in Jupiter it costs $48.00. She tips $5.00. When I go to the salon at our other house in Mims it costs $25.00 and she still tips $5.00.
The last time she took me to the salon it was a different place and the lady made comments Mommy didn't like so Mommy didn't give her anything. I don't like my haircut anyway and I no loner look like a wire haired fox terrier.

I say the same rule of thumb as the people stylists. Up to $20, tip $5. Up to $50, tip $10. Beyond that, go with your gut.
Tip the Groomer...MJ is apalled...Groomers should tip us for the privelage of grooming us....
Now don't get me compleatly wrong...my human isn't the cheapskate that I'm making her out to be...She only goes to the groomers, er, hair stylist place once a year or longer(hmmm, so maybe she is- that or very forgetful). And when she had me groomed at PetSmart, the grooming staiton printed off the payment paper and you go to the register to pay, thus leaving no way to tip. When we move to Texas and find a groomers that we like I will keep reminding my parents to leave tips!
Errr, groomers.
What groomers?
My tip is this: sniff out the food they invariably will have on their person.
Chow for now,
Tin Tin xo
