Surgery...

Well, it happened. Little brother had to have surgery. We were playing, and the next thing I knew was that his ear popped off.

At first I didn't know what had happened, it all happened so fast. My mom was able to put the ear back in and sew him up! His ear is a little goofy now, but at least I can play with him again! All of my other toys, when they get destroyed, mom tries to fix them, and she usually can if she gets to them right away. But if I hide them from her and keep ripping them up, sometimes we have to get rid of them. All in all things are better with little brother, I let him rest for the afternoon. But now since he is all better, I can play with him again! I will have to be more careful. If I destroy all of my toys, then I won't have anymore, and that would be bad...for the furniture! Give me toys...save the furniture! And besides, I might get in trouble if I wreck all of the furniture!

I got a new brother!

Well..... OK.....not really. But it is the closest thing to a brother that I'm going to have for a while. I wish I could have a real brother, or sister, I would even take one of those hairless human pups! My parents got it at the store, and I saw it last night, but I didn't get to play with it, I had to wait until morning. Some good things about this kind of brother are, he will never eat my food, I will never have to compete for attention from mom and dad, I am the alpha-dog, I will have the whole bed to myself (well, and my parents) and I will be the cutest dog in the house! Some of the bad things are...he can't run and chase me, he is better behaved than me, he can't talk to me, he can't blog, we can't go cruisin' for girls, and he just rolls over and takes whatever it is I have to give him.
At least we can still have fun and wrestle! Even if he does make it waaaayyy to easy to pin him! This is me winning!

Do you see any resemblance, no I didn't think so, other than our bodies are white!

Cool gloves, Get your cool gloves here!

Ok, well not actually here! My friend Indy made this post today. You can also read about these gloves on the Harnessed To Hope Northern Breed Rescue, "Now you too can have cool bear claw mittens like Karen Ramstead, 2006 Iditarod Musher!"

Photo

Ok, so all of the photos are now uploaded into photoshop, and there are a lot of them! I am going to start posting pictures by putting the most current ones up and work backwards.

Here I am under the BBQ. I like to hide under the BBQ and usually there is a cover over it, so hiding works really well. Today hiding didn't work that good, but I still like to be under it! Really I am hoping some leftovers fall out of the bottom from last nights dinner. Maybe if I keep getting under things my parents will take a hint and get me a nice dog house for outside!!!

Oh...

I forgot, since blogging I have made a lot of new friends! I will be slowly updating my links.

Here's the latest

Well my house is still up for sale, we have had a few lookers, but every time people come, we leave so I can't really check them out. I had a great time in Seattle. We were there two weeks, and I really missed my dad. My mom took me to a local dog park, it was fenced so I could be off my leash and run around. There were toys there, and I could smell all of the other dogs, but I think they were hiding, because I didn't see them. I wanted my mom to take me back in the night when there would be other dogs there, but it never worked out. I have pictures that I will post later, and even though there were no dogs there, my mom had to take pictures of me smelling everything. I liked to play with my cousins, my aunts and uncle and my grandparents. We lived at my grandpas and grandma's house while we were there. I had a lot of fun getting in my grandma's sewing room, I liked some of the remnants so much that grandma gave me a fleece piece. I have pictures of that too! Well, I will get some pictures some time this week, it all depends on how much time mom spends at the computer....I think she should learn to share better!

Tag, you are IT!

I was tagged by Dachsies Rule- aka Roxie, Sammy, and Andy.

The player of this game starts with "5 weird things/habits about yourself." Then you tag 5 friends and list their names. The furries who get tagged need to write on their blogs about their 5 weird things/habits, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. Don't forget to leave your victim a comment that says "you're tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

So here are my 5 things...

1. I like to sleep on my back with my front paws curled up under my chin, and my back paws spread eagle.
2. I have a floppy tongue.
3. I don't lift my leg when I pee.
4. The roof of my mouth is black.
5. I like to chase a laser light-just like a cat.

I tagged Tigersan, Cal, Casper, Ivy, and Aurora -aka Roo Roo

Question????

So, here's a question...

Do you, or how much do you, or should you, or how much should you tip at the groomers? My mom has taken me to several different places, and she wants to know?

Any thoughts??

I'd like to thank the academy....

Well ok, not the academy. But I would like to take some time to thank everyone who made it possible for my photo to have won the photo contest on the Dogs With Blogs site! Thanks for voting for me!!! Oh...Id like to thank my parents for being so supportive, my groomer for making sure I always look my best, U-haul, for selling moving boxes, the people at Gruffpuppy web design, and most of all my friends and fans! (I'll have to work a little on my speech for my Oscar!)

In Seattle

Whoever said that it always rains in Seattle is wrong. Apparently this part and other parts of Washington are going through a heat wave. Now when I say heat wave it is hot, but they don't always break the records, but it has been in the upper 90's. To the people here where A/C is not put in homes that's HOT! It's a good thing my grandparent have a heat pump, so I can still lay on the vents and enjoy the cold air. In fact, my grandparents keep it so cold in the house using their heat pump that my mom has to put a sweater on, or a blanket...I think my mom is crazy, I like it that cool and when I get back to my house I'm going to figure out how to work the A/C so it is as cold as I want it!

I'm having a relaxing time here, my mom found a dog park that she said she would take me to, it is fenced so I won't run into the road and get hurt, and I can't escape. I miss my dad, it's to bad that he couldn't come with us. I am getting to spend lots of time with family and playing with my cousins, and that is always fun. I was very good on the car ride here, we only made three stops, and of those three got to get out of the car for two of them.

Almost Friday!

Thought that I would make a post really quick. The new carpet is now in the house and that means that my mom is watching me like a hawk. I think my mom still plans on going to Seattle, just her and me, I will miss my dad, it's to bad he can't come too! My house will go on the market tomorrow, so it will actually be good to get away, it will stay cleaner with us/me gone! This new carpet sheds more than I do, maybe I should get D. Animal to come over and help with all of its fuzz! I'll try to make a post or two to fill everyone in on how my trip is going. (notice I keep calling it MY trip, I just take mom because she can drive!)

Puppy picture week

My friend Zach posted puppy pictures on his blog, and then asked to see other puppy pictures on other blogs. Here are a few of my adorable puppy pictures!

I was born in Oregon on January 5th 2005. I was one of 3 girls and 2 boys. On March 25th I got to go on my very first airplane ride to Oakland CA. Once there I was greeted by my mom who was so excited to see me and to take me home. Once we got home I got to meet my dad! I remember sleeping very well that night, I was very tired and worn out from the big day that I had.

Just had to share!

So my mom found this on another blog that she reads (one of many blogs). I laughed out loud! How true, anyone can be on the internet! Enjoy!

I can be helpful!

These pictures were taken during our last move. That time we moved from Salinas, CA. to Nampa, ID. So in honor of this move, I have decided to post these pictures, even if they are old. But let me reassure you that I am being very helpful with this move too! There is one thing that bugs me, the sound that the package tape gun makes as my mom runs it over a box to close it...like claws running down a chalk board!

A few thoughts...

Well, its too hot to think around here...outside that is! So I am really liking these air vents that the cold air comes out of, but they don't stay on. They go on, and then off, and then on, and then off...come on people, get it right....on, on, on, ON, ON! Cold, cold, cold, COLD! It is even hot enough that my pool is to warm and I need some fresh cold water in it. I do like to take rides in the car, because its always cold in there, and I don't even mind that the window is up, that's what keeps that hot air out! I do know it got up to 97 deg. out there. But it's confusing because when we drive through town, the signs with the numbers that say how hot it is are all different, 97, 99, 108 (yesterday one said 108!) 95, why can't they all be the same?

Well, it's just me and mom hanging out this week, and for the next few weeks. It should go by fast, lots to do...Well, lots to watch get done around here! Hey, someone has to supervise, why not me! I won't bark too much if things aren't done how I want! Oh well, just as long as it doesn't get to noisy in there, I don't want to be suffering from lack of sleep and a headache!

It feels like July is almost gone!

I had a good 4th of July. I didn't get to go to the BBQ that everyone else went to, but my parents did come back to our house to do fireworks. I stayed in the house and watched. The noise really didn't bother me like it does some dogs, I was pretty calm the whole night.

We had lots of guests staying at our house this past week. My Moms side of the family had a reunion, so that's why we had people stay over here. I really liked all of the kids that were here, and even some of the adults gave me some attention and played with me. Now all of the guests are gone and it is too quiet around here. I told them before they left that they are welcome to come and visit us in Texas when we get there. I got to play in the pool and the sprinklers with the kids too, that was really fun!

Now my mom is busy putting even more things into boxes, we are getting new carpet in the whole house next week, so everything had to be out of the way for the workers. Having this carpet done is ruining my plans. I was planning on Mom taking me to Seattle for three whole weeks to visit more family while my Dad is doing some work traveling to Denver, but now this carpet install is right in the middle of the three week time. Maybe it will work out to go for a week, come back for this carpet, and then leave for another week, that way I get lots of time in the car! I'll have to see what I can talk my parents into!

The disappearing magic act

I have been noticing the past few days that things around the house are missing! Nothing of mine is missing yet, so no need to panic (yet) and cause an uproar. It's kind of strange, things get put into boxes, and I sit there and wait for them to be transformed into something else. But no such luck, they just stay missing! Mom says that we have to put some of our things into boxes, she calls it packing...Whatever....So that our house looks nice and decluttered, nice and big, and nice and clean, so that someone will want to buy it. Maybe if I put my humans into a box then they won't be around to mess up the house all the time! Because we all know that I would never mess up the house! We don't have to move until the end of September, so I really don't get why this so called packing has to be done now, it cuts into my walking, and play times!

A well needed update!

My car ride was fun! It is about a five hour drive from where we live in Idaho, to where we were going in Utah. I made it all the way and we didn't have to stop to go to the bathroom until we had to stop for gas! I usually have to go at least once, well, I don't but I know that my Mom does so stopping for me is a good excuse! My parents were going down for my Dad's Grandfather's funeral. So that would be my Great Grandfather. I met him about a year ago when I was just a puppy, he was 18 days shy of his 100th Birthday! Now that's really old in dog years! Because it was a funeral, there were lots of new people for me to meet. Sadly a lot of them couldn't pet me due to allergies, but they all said how beautiful I was, and that they thought that I was such a neat dog!

We also found out that week that at the end of September we will be moving to Texas. Now, I have never been to Texas just my parents, but they say that I will like it. We will be living in the Fort Worth are...So are there any dogs out there that can tell me where the good dog parks are, or if they like the area? I suppose if I really don't like it I can become a house dog, and lounge around inside where it is cool all day!

Picture posting is on hold. The laptop thing went down, something about a motherboard or whatever. I don't know how to get to the pictures on the big desktop, but I'm glad that my Dad was able to save them, and now we have this new laptop thing that I have to learn how to use. I will have to pay close attention when my parents use it so I can learn!

And lastly, but the most important.....I finally have my pool out! I was starting to get jealous of all my friends that have pools!
