Could I get any cuter?!

No need to answer that question! This is my sweet innocent look! Pretty good huh?!

Sunday, December 17, 2006

I've been tagged...

...by a lot of you....so, here it goes!

Three things I want for Christmas:
-A back yard!!!
-Toys!!!!
-Play time at the dog park everyday!!!!!

Three things I don't want:
-Hot weather!
-Bugs, nothing that can get in my fur and bite me!!
-No clipping of the nails!!!

Well, now that that is over....

I did get one of the things on my list that I wanted for Christmas! I got a yard!!! And I'm pretty sure that I will get toys for Christmas...I'll have to work on the third thing!

We don't get to move in to the house right away, we have to wait til we get back from our vacation, and so that puts it at January! But I can wait! We will be going to Seattle on Thursday so I'm not sure how much I'll get to blog. I'll definitely have lots to blog about when I get back! I will get to see most of my mom's family. I will miss seeing my Aunt and Uncle and cousins, so I will have to call them and bark how much I miss them! I'm really excited because my dad promised that we would go and find some snow!

well, i cant be sure that I will be on before I leave, so I hope everyone has a safe and happy holidays! And that you all get lots of yummy food and toys!

PS, I will be updating my blog with new links to all of my blogging buddies in January when I get back!

My Musical "My Fair Human"

So, with inspiration from the Pappy and Turbo songs, I decided that I will work on my own version of of My Fair Lady.

Thre are so many parts of that musical that apply to our lives as dogs, so I will be working on new lyrics to my musical called My Fair Human.

I'm not sure on casting yet, but I have worked on the lyrics to one of the songs. I will likely cast my dad in the role of Eliza Doolittle, because even though he's a male human, he is most exasperating.

Song: Hymn to Dogs (Taken from the song Hymn to Him)

HIGGINS

What in all of heaven could've prompted him to go,
After such a triumph as the mall?
What could've depressed him;
What could've possessed him?
I cannot understand the wretch at all.
Humans are irrational, that's all there is to that!
Their heads are full of rawhide, hay, and ropes!
They're nothing but exasperating, irritating,
vacillating, calculating, agitating,
Maddening and infuriating dopes!

[To Pickering]
Pickering, why can't a human be more like a dog?

PICKERING
Hmm?

HIGGINS
Yes... Why can't a human be more like a dog?
Dogs are so honest, so thoroughly square;
Eternally noble, historic'ly fair;
Who, when you win, will always give your cheek a lick.
Well, why can't a human take the hint?
Why does ev'ryone do what the others do?
Can't a human learn to use its head?
Why do they do ev'rything their parents do?
Why don't they grow up- well, like their pets instead?
Why can't a human take after a dog?
Dogs are so pleasant, so easy to please;
Whenever you are with them, you're always at ease.
Would you be slighted if I didn't bark for hours?

PICKERING
Of course not!

HIGGINS
Would you be livid if I had a peed on a tree or two?

PICKERING
Nonsense.

HIGGINS
Would you be wounded if I never gave you facelicks?

PICKERING
Never.

HIGGINS
Well, why can't a human be like you?
One dog in a million may howl a bit.
Now and then there's one with slight defects;
One, perhaps, whose truthfulness you doubt a bit.
But by and large we are marvelous pets!
Why can't a human take after a dog?
Cause dogs are so friendly, good natured and kind.
A better companion you never will find.
If I were eating treats for dinner, would you bellow?

PICKERING
Of course not!

HIGGINS
If I forgot your silly birthday, would you fuss?

PICKERING
Nonsense.

HIGGINS
Would you complain if I sniffed at other dogs?

PICKERING
Never.

HIGGINS
Well, why can't a human be like us?

[To Mrs. Pearce]
Mrs. Pearce, you're a human...
Why can't a human be more like a dog?
Dogs are so decent, such regular breeds.
Ready to help you with any needs.
Ready to lick your face whenever you are glum.
Why can't a human be a chum?
Why is thinking something humans never do?
Why is logic never even tried?
Straight'ning their clothes is all they ever do.
Why don't they straighten up the mess that's inside?
Why can't a human behave like a dog?
If I was a human who'd been to a mall,
Been hailed as an owner by one and by all;
Would I start weeping like a bathtub overflowing?
And carry on as if my home were in a tree?
Would I run off and never tell me where I'm going?
Why can't a human be like me?

So that's the first song I've completed. Granted it's a rough draft and subject to change.

Other Songs would be:
I'm an Ordinary Dog
Just You Wait
I Could Have Howled All Night
Get Me To The Dog Park On Time

Not sure when I will next get to working on this again, but thought you all should know what's in the pipeline.

I want to be a ghost when I grow up!

In this apartment that we live in there is a front bedroom and it is upstairs. This room is not used for anything except to store all the boxes that cant be unpacked because there is no room for things, and because we are moving to a house soon. I can't see out the windows if I just stand there and my back legs get tired of just standing there, so I had my mom put a big plastic bin right in front of the window and cover it with a blanket so I would be really comfy! The light that is on is the hall light, my mom likes to leave it on. The picture on the left is the one that my mom did use the flash, so that is why my eyes look like they are glowing! Our new house won't have a second story, so I will have to choose some different favorite spots to sleep. I like how in the first picture that my ears stick up! And don't worry...my eyes don't always glow like that, although how cool would it be if they did! Ha! Ha! It is my job to protect my house and my parents, and if I need glowing eyes to do that than so be it! But I guess when we move, my bark will just have to do! (click on pictures to enlarge them)

I'm still here

It has been a while, so I thought that I would bark out an update! We are moving again...But this time to a house! It will be really close to where we are living now, and I'm excited to have a yard again! We are down to one computer again, so I have to share with mom and dad.

I get to go on vacation for Christmas this year. My parents are going to Seattle, and I get to go! I am hoping that it will snow while I am there (it snowed a bit yesterday!) If we don't see any snow, I have commanded my parents to take me and find some snow. It shouldn't be hard to find some, I will just have my parents drive about and hour or two, and there it should be! I'll have my mom and dad take lots of pictures, and maybe I'll sneak some in the trunk and mail it to my friend Turbo, and anyone else who wants any!

I will be flying, so I've given my mom a list of everything she need to pack for me. And My dad will have to get me a stocking, so Santa claws will know where to find me. I can use the tree at my grandpa and grandma's house, but my mom warned me that I had better not pee on it. Who does she think I am? Has any of you ever peed on the Christmas tree? Unlike some people I know, I will have no one else to blame it on!

I can't find any pictures, I'm not sure where they are hiding since the computer broke. But I'll take some and keep them safe, so I'll have lots of pictures to share when I get back.

I'm feeling better by the way! My mom is going to reintroduce rawhides, and if I don't get sick I can keep them!

Thought this was good!

On November 11, 1999 Terry Kelly was in a Shoppers Drug Mart store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. At 10:55 AM an announcement came over the stores PA asking customers who would still be of the premises at 11:00 AM to give two minutes of silence in respect to the veterans who have sacrificed so much for us...

I'm feeling better!

Thank you all for the advice and suggestions. My mom decided to not take me to the vet yet. She has decided to take away all of my rawhides and things that I haven’t been digesting lately, and she is going to vacuum more (which I hate) to suck up all of the hair that I shed so I won’t get any in my tummy. My dad thinks also that when my mom gets stressed out and crazy (about our leaking, falling apart, getting help is like pulling teeth apartment) that I sense it and it gets me all upset, and then I puke. So my mom said that she would calm down so I will be ok. My parents will watch me like a hawk, and if I get worse, then I will go to the vet.

I have to be home alone this weekend while my parents go house hunting. I’m glad that I will be inside because I heard on the news that there has been dog napping in the area. Exactly what area in this area I’m not sure.

PS. When I signed on to the dashboard it said that the new blogger was ready...has anyone tried it, do you like it, whats the buzz?

Does anydog have any answers??

I went to the vet last week on the 25th of October. My parents were/are concerned because I keep vomiting. I have been vomiting on a weekly (once a week, twice a week, twice in one day per week that kinda thing.) for the past month or so. First my parents didn't think anything of it the first few times that it happened. They thought that it might just be stress, the stress of moving, the stress of not having a yard anymore, etc. Anyhow, when I got sick twice in one day, then the next day I went to the vet. This is what my mom told the vet: we just moved here (we have been here now 5 weeks) diet has not changed, has been eating the same food for about a year, gets sick hours (6-10) after I eat, and that I have been going to the dog park. The vet took a stool sample, checked for Giardia, and checked for parasites. And my mom doesn't thing it's a food allergy because if it was, wouldn't I be getting sick a lot more? Anyhow test came back and, nothing...everything came back ok. The vet put me on antibiotics, and we were on our way. The past week has been ok, so I thought that I was all better. Wrong! Tuesday I got sick 3 times, and this morning I got sick once. My parents were smart enough this time to look at my vomit and see what it was. The first day they looked at it and it was big pieces of rawhide and hair (mine I suppose, it gets stuck to the rawhides), so they took away the rawhides thinking that maybe my tummy just doesn't digest them anymore. This morning my puke had booda bone in it from last night. My parents are going to watch me very closely, and I can't have anything but toys (they aren't going to change my diet, but they are going to give me filtered water) and if I still get sick...off to the vet I go again. Maybe the vet will have some answers? Does anyone out there have any suggestions for me? Should my mom take me to the vet sooner and get blood work done?

Other than when I get sick, my mom and dad say that I appear to be ok, I'm playful, happy, etc... Oh, and when I get sick, it doesn't have food in it because we think it has already digested.

Wanna see something UGLY!?!

Click on picture to enlarge...If you dare!!!!

So in the first picture you really can't tell how big this cockroach is, so I had my mom put it next to a quarter in the second photo. My mom still shudders every time she looks at this picture! The really funny thing is that the day before this roach showed up my parents went shopping at the yummy food store. Raid was on the list. While they were at the store, my mom asks my dad if he wants to get the Raid, he said "NO". So the next day this roach shows up, my mom freaks out, dad comes to help her kill it, and says "where is the Raid?" WHAT?!! My mom then said, "you told me no, we didn't get any" So they had to slow it down with hair spray! Then the roach got put into a ziploc bag and I got to play with it for a while. The roach got faster as the hair spray wore off, so I liked to paw at the bag and see it move really fast. Good thing the bag stayed close!

Fun at the dog park

While we were in the Seattle area, my mom met up with her friend from high school. We met at the dog park because my mom's friend has two Siberian Huskies, one boy and one girl. The photo in the top left hand corner is Kolee, the boy, and the photo on the top right is Quoia, the girl. I really liked the dog park, and as you can tell from the picture on the bottom left corner that there were a lot of dogs there, more than were in that picture. And the picture below is me in the mud! It being the Seattle area, rained the whole morning and afternoon we were to go to the park, and all the day before! I didn't mind...my mom did, but I thought that it was fun. At least Eskies come clean after they get dry! Yup, the dirt kinda just fell off! Hey it's not like I rolled in all that water...thought about it!

My large tongue.

Here is a picture for my Aunt Hana. She likes to poke her tongue out too! Maybe it runs in the family!
Is anyone going to swtich to the new Blogger? Has anyone looked into that?

To all chocolate lovers...

Well, for all human chocolate lovers. This is the kind of restaurant that my mom would love to eat at!

I am now in Texas!

Well, we made it here safe and sound! We spent four days driving...well, my dad drove a very long 26 ft. penske truck towing a car, and my mom drove the other car while I slept most of the trip! It was hard, but somebody had to do the sleeping! The first night we stayed in Sandy Ut. The second night we stayed in Denver CO. The third night we were in Dumas TX. And the fourth night we were at our new home. We drove through Oklahoma, but didn't get to stop. I was mad that we couldn't stop because I didn't get to mark my territory like I did in all of the other states! I liked staying at the hotel in Denver....there was a bed just for ME! I'll post some pictures later when I get them down loaded. I have got some really cute ones! And I will also post some of my paw and my cone head ones. Paw by the way is all better!

Update...

Well, surgery went well. As it turns out my corn was a result of something in my paw (wasn't there when they went in to look at it) that caused swelling and a cyst looking thing. The Dr. removed the corn and flushed out my paw.

Pictures will have to wait till we get down to Texas, not sure if I am going to have time since I have to keep a watchful eye on how my mom is packing...don't want any of my things to end up in boxes!

To quote my friend Turbo, on one of his favorite words:

Cone collars are STUPID! Bandages are STUPID! Pictures being taken of poor, hurt, sad pathetic me in the cone and bandage is STUPID! But the drugs are so gooood! (they make it not hurt so bad!)

Going to the Dr.

My mom took me to the Doctor today. I had been limping since Saturday, and my paw was bleeding. When we got to the office, I sat on the scale very good (I now weigh 26.9 lbs.) and got a treat for that! I didn't like it very much when the Dr. had to touch my pad on my paw, it hurt! My mom had to hold me down, but that didn't work very well. The Dr. left, and then came back with another person to help hold me, and then she put a muzzle on me. I don't blame her, I did try to nip her, so she was just taking precaution. Well as it turns out I have a corn. And I'm not talking about the kind you eat! I have to go in for surgery tomorrow to get it taken care of. Better now so I am all well for my trip to Texas.

I should heal pretty fast, but maybe I should play up the injured, hurt, sad puppy card to get extra treats!

One last vacation in Seattle

Well, things are crazy busy at my house right now. Almost everything is in boxes, and the things that are not in boxes, will be in boxes in less than two weeks. My mom and dad are getting worried because no one has come to look at the house in almost 3 weeks.

My mom took me for a car ride on Thursday, we are in Seattle again for a week. I will miss my dad and wish that he could come, but I will get to see a lot of my cousins and stay at my grandparents home. It will be a nice break from watching all of the packing that my mom has been doing.

In two weeks from today I will be spending a lot of time in the car because that is when we are leaving to go to Texas! I'm told that I will like it, so I will just have to wait and see.

I'll try to get at least some new pictures up before I leave, but the updating my links list will have to wait till things get settled in Texas...but I have a paper copy of the things I want to update it with!

Surgery...

Well, it happened. Little brother had to have surgery. We were playing, and the next thing I knew was that his ear popped off.

At first I didn't know what had happened, it all happened so fast. My mom was able to put the ear back in and sew him up! His ear is a little goofy now, but at least I can play with him again! All of my other toys, when they get destroyed, mom tries to fix them, and she usually can if she gets to them right away. But if I hide them from her and keep ripping them up, sometimes we have to get rid of them. All in all things are better with little brother, I let him rest for the afternoon. But now since he is all better, I can play with him again! I will have to be more careful. If I destroy all of my toys, then I won't have anymore, and that would be bad...for the furniture! Give me toys...save the furniture! And besides, I might get in trouble if I wreck all of the furniture!

Saturday, August 26, 2006

I got a new brother!

Well..... OK.....not really. But it is the closest thing to a brother that I'm going to have for a while. I wish I could have a real brother, or sister, I would even take one of those hairless human pups! My parents got it at the store, and I saw it last night, but I didn't get to play with it, I had to wait until morning. Some good things about this kind of brother are, he will never eat my food, I will never have to compete for attention from mom and dad, I am the alpha-dog, I will have the whole bed to myself (well, and my parents) and I will be the cutest dog in the house! Some of the bad things are...he can't run and chase me, he is better behaved than me, he can't talk to me, he can't blog, we can't go cruisin' for girls, and he just rolls over and takes whatever it is I have to give him.
At least we can still have fun and wrestle! Even if he does make it waaaayyy to easy to pin him! This is me winning!

Do you see any resemblance, no I didn't think so, other than our bodies are white!

Cool gloves, Get your cool gloves here!

Ok, well not actually here! My friend Indy made this post today. You can also read about these gloves on the Harnessed To Hope Northern Breed Rescue, "Now you too can have cool bear claw mittens like Karen Ramstead, 2006 Iditarod Musher!"

Photo

Ok, so all of the photos are now uploaded into photoshop, and there are a lot of them! I am going to start posting pictures by putting the most current ones up and work backwards.

Here I am under the BBQ. I like to hide under the BBQ and usually there is a cover over it, so hiding works really well. Today hiding didn't work that good, but I still like to be under it! Really I am hoping some leftovers fall out of the bottom from last nights dinner. Maybe if I keep getting under things my parents will take a hint and get me a nice dog house for outside!!!

Wednesday, August 16, 2006

Oh...

I forgot, since blogging I have made a lot of new friends! I will be slowly updating my links.

Here's the latest

Well my house is still up for sale, we have had a few lookers, but every time people come, we leave so I can't really check them out. I had a great time in Seattle. We were there two weeks, and I really missed my dad. My mom took me to a local dog park, it was fenced so I could be off my leash and run around. There were toys there, and I could smell all of the other dogs, but I think they were hiding, because I didn't see them. I wanted my mom to take me back in the night when there would be other dogs there, but it never worked out. I have pictures that I will post later, and even though there were no dogs there, my mom had to take pictures of me smelling everything. I liked to play with my cousins, my aunts and uncle and my grandparents. We lived at my grandpas and grandma's house while we were there. I had a lot of fun getting in my grandma's sewing room, I liked some of the remnants so much that grandma gave me a fleece piece. I have pictures of that too! Well, I will get some pictures some time this week, it all depends on how much time mom spends at the computer....I think she should learn to share better!

Tag, you are IT!

I was tagged by Dachsies Rule- aka Roxie, Sammy, and Andy.

The player of this game starts with "5 weird things/habits about yourself." Then you tag 5 friends and list their names. The furries who get tagged need to write on their blogs about their 5 weird things/habits, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. Don't forget to leave your victim a comment that says "you're tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

So here are my 5 things...

1. I like to sleep on my back with my front paws curled up under my chin, and my back paws spread eagle.
2. I have a floppy tongue.
3. I don't lift my leg when I pee.
4. The roof of my mouth is black.
5. I like to chase a laser light-just like a cat.

Question????

So, here's a question...

Do you, or how much do you, or should you, or how much should you tip at the groomers? My mom has taken me to several different places, and she wants to know?

Any thoughts??

It's up, it's up....

My winning photo is up on DWB! Go and check it out!

In other news, I am back home after my 2 weeks in the Seattle area. I will make more posts, including some pictures a little later!

I'd like to thank the academy....

Well ok, not the academy. But I would like to take some time to thank everyone who made it possible for my photo to have won the photo contest on the Dogs With Blogs site! Thanks for voting for me!!! Oh...Id like to thank my parents for being so supportive, my groomer for making sure I always look my best, U-haul, for selling moving boxes, the people at Gruffpuppy web design, and most of all my friends and fans! (I'll have to work a little on my speech for my Oscar!)

In Seattle

Whoever said that it always rains in Seattle is wrong. Apparently this part and other parts of Washington are going through a heat wave. Now when I say heat wave it is hot, but they don't always break the records, but it has been in the upper 90's. To the people here where A/C is not put in homes that's HOT! It's a good thing my grandparent have a heat pump, so I can still lay on the vents and enjoy the cold air. In fact, my grandparents keep it so cold in the house using their heat pump that my mom has to put a sweater on, or a blanket...I think my mom is crazy, I like it that cool and when I get back to my house I'm going to figure out how to work the A/C so it is as cold as I want it!

I'm having a relaxing time here, my mom found a dog park that she said she would take me to, it is fenced so I won't run into the road and get hurt, and I can't escape. I miss my dad, it's to bad that he couldn't come with us. I am getting to spend lots of time with family and playing with my cousins, and that is always fun. I was very good on the car ride here, we only made three stops, and of those three got to get out of the car for two of them.

Thursday, July 20, 2006

Almost Friday!

Thought that I would make a post really quick. The new carpet is now in the house and that means that my mom is watching me like a hawk. I think my mom still plans on going to Seattle, just her and me, I will miss my dad, it's to bad he can't come too! My house will go on the market tomorrow, so it will actually be good to get away, it will stay cleaner with us/me gone! This new carpet sheds more than I do, maybe I should get D. Animal to come over and help with all of its fuzz! I'll try to make a post or two to fill everyone in on how my trip is going. (notice I keep calling it MY trip, I just take mom because she can drive!)

Puppy picture week

My friend Zach posted puppy pictures on his blog, and then asked to see other puppy pictures on other blogs. Here are a few of my adorable puppy pictures!

I was born in Oregon on January 5th 2005. I was one of 3 girls and 2 boys. On March 25th I got to go on my very first airplane ride to Oakland CA. Once there I was greeted by my mom who was so excited to see me and to take me home. Once we got home I got to meet my dad! I remember sleeping very well that night, I was very tired and worn out from the big day that I had.

Just had to share!

So my mom found this on another blog that she reads (one of many blogs). I laughed out loud! How true, anyone can be on the internet! Enjoy!

I can be helpful!

These pictures were taken during our last move. That time we moved from Salinas, CA. to Nampa, ID. So in honor of this move, I have decided to post these pictures, even if they are old. But let me reassure you that I am being very helpful with this move too! There is one thing that bugs me, the sound that the package tape gun makes as my mom runs it over a box to close it...like claws running down a chalk board!

Monday, July 10, 2006

A few thoughts...

Well, its too hot to think around here...outside that is! So I am really liking these air vents that the cold air comes out of, but they don't stay on. They go on, and then off, and then on, and then off...come on people, get it right....on, on, on, ON, ON! Cold, cold, cold, COLD! It is even hot enough that my pool is to warm and I need some fresh cold water in it. I do like to take rides in the car, because its always cold in there, and I don't even mind that the window is up, that's what keeps that hot air out! I do know it got up to 97 deg. out there. But it's confusing because when we drive through town, the signs with the numbers that say how hot it is are all different, 97, 99, 108 (yesterday one said 108!) 95, why can't they all be the same?

Well, it's just me and mom hanging out this week, and for the next few weeks. It should go by fast, lots to do...Well, lots to watch get done around here! Hey, someone has to supervise, why not me! I won't bark too much if things aren't done how I want! Oh well, just as long as it doesn't get to noisy in there, I don't want to be suffering from lack of sleep and a headache!

It feels like July is almost gone!

I had a good 4th of July. I didn't get to go to the BBQ that everyone else went to, but my parents did come back to our house to do fireworks. I stayed in the house and watched. The noise really didn't bother me like it does some dogs, I was pretty calm the whole night.

We had lots of guests staying at our house this past week. My Moms side of the family had a reunion, so that's why we had people stay over here. I really liked all of the kids that were here, and even some of the adults gave me some attention and played with me. Now all of the guests are gone and it is too quiet around here. I told them before they left that they are welcome to come and visit us in Texas when we get there. I got to play in the pool and the sprinklers with the kids too, that was really fun!

Now my mom is busy putting even more things into boxes, we are getting new carpet in the whole house next week, so everything had to be out of the way for the workers. Having this carpet done is ruining my plans. I was planning on Mom taking me to Seattle for three whole weeks to visit more family while my Dad is doing some work traveling to Denver, but now this carpet install is right in the middle of the three week time. Maybe it will work out to go for a week, come back for this carpet, and then leave for another week, that way I get lots of time in the car! I'll have to see what I can talk my parents into!

The disappearing magic act

I have been noticing the past few days that things around the house are missing! Nothing of mine is missing yet, so no need to panic (yet) and cause an uproar. It's kind of strange, things get put into boxes, and I sit there and wait for them to be transformed into something else. But no such luck, they just stay missing! Mom says that we have to put some of our things into boxes, she calls it packing...Whatever....So that our house looks nice and decluttered, nice and big, and nice and clean, so that someone will want to buy it. Maybe if I put my humans into a box then they won't be around to mess up the house all the time! Because we all know that I would never mess up the house! We don't have to move until the end of September, so I really don't get why this so called packing has to be done now, it cuts into my walking, and play times!

A well needed update!

My car ride was fun! It is about a five hour drive from where we live in Idaho, to where we were going in Utah. I made it all the way and we didn't have to stop to go to the bathroom until we had to stop for gas! I usually have to go at least once, well, I don't but I know that my Mom does so stopping for me is a good excuse! My parents were going down for my Dad's Grandfather's funeral. So that would be my Great Grandfather. I met him about a year ago when I was just a puppy, he was 18 days shy of his 100th Birthday! Now that's really old in dog years! Because it was a funeral, there were lots of new people for me to meet. Sadly a lot of them couldn't pet me due to allergies, but they all said how beautiful I was, and that they thought that I was such a neat dog!

We also found out that week that at the end of September we will be moving to Texas. Now, I have never been to Texas just my parents, but they say that I will like it. We will be living in the Fort Worth are...So are there any dogs out there that can tell me where the good dog parks are, or if they like the area? I suppose if I really don't like it I can become a house dog, and lounge around inside where it is cool all day!

Picture posting is on hold. The laptop thing went down, something about a motherboard or whatever. I don't know how to get to the pictures on the big desktop, but I'm glad that my Dad was able to save them, and now we have this new laptop thing that I have to learn how to use. I will have to pay close attention when my parents use it so I can learn!

And lastly, but the most important.....I finally have my pool out! I was starting to get jealous of all my friends that have pools!

Should all posts have a title? Sometimes I can't think of a good one, like today, so I will leave it blank!

Well, the laptop thing is at a store called Bust Buy. Personally if it's not called PetSmart I could really care less! My dad did manage to save all of the pictures from one computer to the next, so as soon as I figure out just how to get them, there will be new pictures! My parents are leaving on a quick trip again...but this time I get to go! So I get to go in the car! Have a great weekend everyone!

Update...

I'm back now. I was in the kennels for about a week while my parents were in Texas. I wish that I could have gone with them, but they were flying and had lay overs and long travel days, and where they were staying wouldn't have been a good place for me. And I would have had to be alone for several hours during the day because they were out and about and it was too hot to stay in the car...even if the windows were open all the way...even if they rented a convertible! Mom and Dad went to Texas to visit some family and to do some house hunting. Not sure if we are moving yet, won't know for a month or so, we wait and see.

There may not be any more pictures to post for a while, haven't taken any new ones and the old ones on the other computer may have gotten lost...something about the computer crashing or whatever.

I am jealous of some friends of mine that they have there pool out, no pool here, I think that's why I look grumpy in some of the photos in my last post... I would rather be in a pool than these dirty sprinklers. Hopefully soon!

It's about time for a pool!

My pal Turbo has inspired me to write and post some pictures. We are both in the same boat because our humans have not put out the pools yet, um, wait... so I guess boat is the wrong word seeing as how there is no water! My mom should be getting my pool out in June, hopefully early June so I can practice my swimming and splashing skills before my two legged cousins get here in July! So as a hint to my parents I am posting some pictures of me from a few weeks ago. My mom didn't get pictures of me actually running through the sprinklers, just video, so the pictures I'm posting are of me just after playing in the sprinklers.

Things ok here now

My parents got the A/C fixed last night. Well, they had someone come and fix it...that would be giving them way to much credit! As soon as it was up and running I found the vents to be quite nice! There was a thunder and lightning storm last night, with rain. The thunder really didn't bother me I was able to sleep through most of it. And since it's so flat here the storms usually just roll in and then roll out.

Wait, I wasn't ready for summer yet...

Ok, so our house was almost back to normal from the three floods last month, and from all of the other things that broke at the same time as those floods. But now, I'm not sure that I can live in this house anymore, things just keep happening or breaking, and I was ok up to this point but now my comfort level is way down. The air conditioning has not been working since Tuesday night, and it has gotten very hot here for this time of the year. It has been in the 90's and Wednesday at 8:30 in the evening it was still 85 deg. Outside, so at that point it was cooler outside than inside. It doesn't usually get that hot till June! My parents are trying to keep the house cool for me, giving me ice, turning on the whirling blades of death, and letting me go outside a lot as well as giving me lots of water, but why can't I have any ice cream or popsicles, its rude for them to eat them in front of me! Hopefully the air will be fixed today so I can return to lounging on top of the air vents in the house while the A/C is going, but if it's not...Maybe I should demand that I go to the kennels where it is nice and cool!

Mmmmm, Nylabone!

So, I haven't been able to make any posts lately, as I'm sure you all have noticed. The first weekend in May we took a family trip. I love to go places in the car! Friday the 4th we left early in the morning to go to Seattle. My Uncle was getting married the next day and my parents didn't want to miss it. I get the whole back seat all to myself now, my parents finally figured out that I actually will stay in the back seat if its not half filled with my crate, or if I have to share the back seat with there human things! Anyhow, back to my trip....The picture on the left there was taken at some rest stop in Oregon. We all had to use the potty, well, me mostly. I was not allowed to go into any of the buildings so my Dad waited in the car with me while my mom used the restroom. Then I guess my Dad had to use the restroom too because he left me in the car by myself, but locked the doors so I would be safe. I wish that I could have gotten out because I saw that truck, and I know that there were things in that truck for me! Now, if only I could get to that truck! I thought that if I could break free from the car, I could open the back of the truck and sneak in before anyone noticed that I was gone. Well, my Mom came back first but was locked out because my Dad had the keys. She saw that I had my eye on that Nylabone truck and it was like she could read my mind!

The least she could have done was to go and ask the truck driver if he had any free samples to give to good little dogs! But now all I have are these useless pictures taken of the truck, way to tease me Mom and Dad! All in all it was a good trip, I got to play with my cousins and see my Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles! And I had a yard to play in and other dogs to talk to while I was in the yard! We left on Sunday but didn't get back till late, so I am just now catching up on all of the things that dogs like me should be doing (chewing, sleeping, digging, etc..) I have some pictures that I will be posting when I get some more time on the computer, I have to wait my turn so I usually get it after my parents are done...Don't they know that what I need to write is really important? Hey, at least this isn't a post about the start of my life of crime, starting with me stealing the Nylabone truck and speeding off into the sunset (and living happily ever after!)

Almost back to normal at my house.

Well, I had a fun couple of days at the kennels. A little over a month ago my parents had water problems, (not because of me!) and they just now got the vinyl in the kitchen, dining room, all the bathrooms, and a laundry room. The flooding was bad, but I guess it worked in my benefit, because that was the second time that I got to go to the kennels in a month! Now the house just needs to be put back together, so I can have my space back. Its such a mess here, laundry stuff in the living room, stacks of towels, nothing is in its spot. And when I grab something, my parents tell me that I can't have it and to drop it. I tell you something, if it wasn't in my area where I could grab it they wouldn't have that problem! Oh well, at least my mom did all of the vacuuming when I was gone, I don't like the vacuum.

The things I crave!

I usually like to eat my Dads hat, the ties and the tassel on top is yummy. And when my Mom and Dad find me sneaking off with the hat, they always take it away. It's a winter hat so I usually only see it when the weather turns cold, cold for the humans anyhow (wimps!).
Well, I got the hat the other day because it wasn't put away for the summer yet, and instead of eating it I thought that I would try it on for size! At first it covered my eyes so I had to flip part of it up. I thought I was in trouble when my Mom came in and found me trying to take a picture of myself, but to my surprise, or maybe my relief, she helped me out by taking the second and third picture. That was really helpful because of my short arms I can't get a good self portrait, as you can see from the first picture! When all of the pictures were taken and all of the fun was done the hat was put into the winter box for next year. That means I have to wait a whole year before I get to taste it again.

Wheeeee!

The irrigation is turned on here (Idaho gets irrigation for everyone all summer), and that means sprinklers! My mom turned them on today and I got to run and play in the water. I really liked it. Also today I was in the garage and I saw this big blue thing that kind of looked like a huge water bowl, mom said that was my swimming pool and that maybe next month she can fill it up for me so that I can play in it! This is going to be a super fun summer!

Having fun with the camera

Mom Decided to have fun with the camera and photo shop, while I was trying to sleep! Can't she just let me get my beauty rest, hasn't she ever heard "let sleeping dogs lie"?

So after a while I decided that I would play along, hey, I can sleep later right?! I for some reason can't keep my tongue in my mouth. Oh well, that is one of the cute things I do that my parents love!

Oh I forgot...

My grandma Ruth from Silveroaks took one (or more) of her eskies to the Eukanuba Tournament of Champions and her eskie Juneau took best of breed and competed for best in show! We say it on TV Monday, and it looks like animal planet will be showing it again...So I can watch it again! But I can't seem to find out any more info on the show.

I'mmmm Baaaaaack!

Well, it seems like it has been a few weeks since I last made a post. And I thought I would make one so that everyone would know that "the whirling blades of death" haven't gotten me. My parents had some flooding in the house...3 different floods in less than a week, so our weekend plans changed from what we were all planning on. My parents were supposed to go back to Utah for the first weekend in April, but because of the first flood they were going to cancel the trip. I started to panic...I was supposed to go to the kennel and play, and see other dogs, and play, and get groomed, and play...If my mom and dad canceled the trip, I was going to have to stay home with them in the hot, hot house, where everything was a mess because of the flood. But to my relief they kept my boarding appointment because they figured it would be better for me to go and have fun, and be in a comfortable place, and also that way they wouldn't have to worry about me getting hurt or eating something I shouldn't....Wise of them. I had a good time at the kennel, but because I was away I missed the second flood, but I got to see the third flood. My mom came to get me that Monday (the 3rd) and as we were walking in the door...Water everywhere! I went nuts! I thought that I was at the water park and started to play in it, and bark, and drink it. Well, my mom put a stop to that. She put me on my tie out, and that just made me mad, why does mom get to play in the water and not me? But then I was happy again because my mom called her friend and I got to go play with my friend Ginger in her backyard. So now we are all dried out and as soon as my parents put flooring in two bathrooms, the laundry room, kitchen and dining room, everything will be back to normal...I vote tile in the kitchen and dining room, but I guess my vote doesn't count! I'm hoping to post some pictures soon, we are down to one computer for a while and during the day my mom hog's it and at night my dad hog's it, so I have to be sneaky about when I use it!

Whirling Blades of Death

Well, my parents had us sleep out in the living room for a couple of night, because of some water problems that I DID NOT cause.

In any case, on the ceiling of the living room is what Dad terms "The Whirling Blades of Death" and I agree with him! Why were they sleeping underneath those dangerous blades? I, of course, was smart enough to move out of the reach of the blades should they decide to attack by crashing down on whatever unsuspecting victim lies beneath them.

Mom says that it's a fan, and it makes the room cooler, but I gotta side with Dad on this one. If I could get the camera from mom, I would post a picture of the "Whirling Blades of Death" for you, but she's being sneaky with the camera, and I can't get near it.

My messy foot escapade

This morning started early around our house. I accidentally stepped in poo this morning (if it would hurry and get light that wouldn't happen) and I guess it smelled pretty bad because it woke up my mom and dad and my mom almost got sick while cleaning it up. It was so bad that the sheets had to be washed, as well as the blankets. And the down comforter has to go to the dry cleaners, but since I puked on that before Christmas it had to be cleaned anyhow. I got put in my crate till my dad could help my mom wash my foot, it was like having my very own "pet"-icure!! My mom said that she was very glad that her new quilt gets put away every night and that it is only for daytime.

I got to play in the snow!!

This weekend we made a quick trip to Utah. We left here on Friday night after my dad got done with work, and got there later that night (it's less than 6 hours if my parents don't stop to many times for me). We stayed till Sunday late afternoon. We went to visit my grandparents, and I even saw my uncle Eric. It was fun to see them, I had fun while Grandpa was chasing me, and Uncle Eric played tug with me, and Grandmother said I was very soft when she pet me! There was snow in the part of Utah where we were because where we were was something called foothills! Either way, I was happy when I got up Sunday morning and saw the snow!

I like this basket...As you can see!

My parents think that it is so funny when they see me hop into this basket! I overheard my mom asking my dad if they switched the basket to the one size smaller basket, if I would notice...Um, hello...It would be smaller and I wouldn't fit as well!
