And then when I'm done...

...I have to let them know I want back in.

Darn child proof doorknobs

It's really a bit annoying that I have to wait by the door and bark in
order to "use the facilities" outside. I could sure use a dog door.

I'm not the camera man, so it's not my fault that the video is tall

so many resting spots...

I forgot about the perks that come with having a new baby in the house!
This is me in Cassie's bed! I forgot about all the yummy stuff babies leave behind!
Remember when I use to get in Lukes bed?

I have it sooo good in this house, so many cozy places for me to rest!

My parents decided to take the drop side off of Lukes crib. His legs kept getting stuck and hurting him so they decided it was time to try the big boy bed! I like it too!

The count down...

Less than a month until my new baby sister gets here. You may have noticed that I haven't been posting much of anything lately. It's hard work taking care of my family (see me resting in my new pet couch...Luke likes it too!) and I have been really busy with that (picking up the toys, and doing laundry)! Especially taking care of Luke... man that 18 month old is onto everything (but you can see I benefit from helping him pick up his snacks too!)! So I watch him, so my mom can get some rest!
My mom is better at updating the family blog, so you can see what I am up to there sometimes!

Lack of Posts

I realize that I have been slacking on my blog posts, but I have a good excuse.

You see, my dad has played fantasy baseball for many years, and I decided that I wanted to play this year. He plays a version called Baseball Manager. In any case, he decided to join another league and have 2 teams this year, but I prevailed upon him to let me take control of this new team.

So, I have been spending a lot of time doing baseball research. I have decided that baseball is a very strange game. But what do you really expect from humans after all?

I named my team the Fort Worth Eskies. I am their manager, and I am competing against 9 other teams. Including a team of Sea Dogs and another team of Coyotes.

I will be sure to keep you posted about how my team is doing once the season starts.

My mom made me post this...

...sorry to all of the friendly cats out there...

Oh, I forgot...

......I'm getting a baby sister in June! Now I will have another baby face to kiss and twice the hands to lick! I'm okay with this, as long as my parents don't try and dress me in pink things!
And here is just one picture of how much snow there was in the Seattle area. I can't remember when this picture was taken, but look at how much snow is on that table!

Holy Smokes...it's been a while!

A lot has happened since thelast time I blogged! I have lots of pictures and videos to post when I can get to the other computer!

Yesterday was my 4th barkday! My mom made me a big pupcake, My brother gave me a new double headed snake, and my parents got me a new crate. I got lots of scratches, and got to lounge around!

On Saturday we got back from 2 1/2 weeks in WA. There was lots of SNOW!!! We thought we were going to have to take a drive up to the mountains to find some snow, but the Weather Gods must have heard my plea for snow!

There was lots to do in the Seattle area. My dad took me sledding, I helped my Granddad catch a opossum, I had lots of cousins to smell and play with, witch also meant there were lots of crumbs and food that the babies dropped/threw onto the floor, and there were the squirrels that my grandparents feed to bark and chase. There were also cats and a couple of dogs. And I did lots of barking every time someone knocked or rang the doorbell!

The airplane ride was good and uneventful on the way there. But on the way home, I had a smelly mess in my crate by the time my parents got me at the baggage claim...I just don't know what happened...I didn't even have breakfast that morning, and did my potty business twice before the trip (and once the night before). So that is why I got a new crate, but I needed one anyhow because my old door was getting all rusty.

So now we are home. Things are almost back to normal. I miss the snow....and the squirrels. And am going to try and be better about posting more often!

The Creature hatches itself in my own living room!

Here's me watching the creature hatch! I have already had a number of "discussions" with this creature, but it's no use...it calls itself DC25...is that not a sinister name? More details to be posted later.

It's an invasion!

I have received advance notice that the Dyson are launching an assault on my home some time today. It will be up to me to defend the household from this type of threat. I fear I will face something similar to what Turbo faces with D Animal.

For detailed information regarding these unholy creatures, visit their diabolical "friendly" web site at www.dyson.com. Don't believe the propoganda. They are not friendly, and they are not here to be our friends.

My humans have no clue what they will be allowing into their home.

If...

If I were human,
and if I had a yearbook photo,
and if it happened to be 1969,
I might look like this......

Or me in 1976! Hahahahaha!

Have your humans try it for themselves at yearbook yourself. My parents already did...and boy do they look funny! Did anyones parents really look like any years they have on there?

Check out my new ride!

Yes! I finally got to ride instead of walk! Luke was kind enough to share and make some room for me! I think from now on, this is how I will enjoy every walk! What do you think?! Next month Luke will be one, and some day he will grow out of this stroller and I think he should gift it to me!

On a side note, you should go over and check out my parents blog. My parents have already told me that there will be no chewing on Flat Daddy when we are there for Christmas. Like I didn't know that already! What do they think I am...a dog?

The fake me!

This first picture was taken up in Washington when we went there for Christmas almost two years ago. That is my cousin Breanna and her "dog". Breanna can't have a real dog so instead she got that dog and named it Ender! But that Ender ate something called batteries and moved funny and made funny barking noises...really freaked me out! Breanna still has "Ender". Infact, that is her Ender with my Luke in the second picture. And that picture was taken when my mom and my Luke went up there just this past July (remember I didn't go). I hope that Luke didn't think it was really me. I would hate to think that I, the real Ender could be replace so easily. I'm sure when we go up to Washington this Christmas, I will be able to point out the differences to Luke, and he won't be confused as to who the real Ender is!

Pictures from the archives

This is what I do when I want something.
I'm pretty good at convincing people I need things.
Especially when I do cute things!
This is me helping my self to something I think I need.
I'm pretty good at that too!
I can open the door all by myself!
This is something that
I DID NOT DO!
Luke did it,
and my parents believe me!
And this is me relaxing.
After I got what I wanted!
In the nice sunlight,
but not the heat!

I'm so humliliated!

Yes, this is me. My mom dressed me in one of Luke's outfits.
I can't even look at anyone I'm so embarrassed!
Look at me hang my head in shame!
BUT, I did get a treat for being so good, was it worth it, or does that make me a sucker?

Pictures that my mom took.

I smell much better after my bath and I am allowed back on the bed! And the best part about it is that I don't have to have another bath until right before we leave to go on our christmas vacation....unless I roll in something stinky again!

Now, here are some of the pictures that my mom took. She and Luke went to Washington State for a few weeks and took the camera with them. I think I need my own camera especially if all she brings back for me are pictures of squirrles. Ivy's on to something...squirrels are evil! Look how in the first picture the squirrel is ready to lunge out at anyone who comes near it! So what does my mom try and do...try to get it to come closer by using a peanut as bate! Noooooo...I should have been there to protect them! Well, good thing that squirrel didn't come closer, and decided to just lounge around! She also had a little video clip...no peoples or animals were hurt in the making of this film.

I stink.

I stink because today while we were outside there was this dead snake and I rolled in it! Now I have to go and have a bath tomorrow. And then I will not stink.

Lounging Outside

The key to lounging outside when it's 100 degrees is....airflow.

You need to position yourself for maximum exposure to any possible gust of wind.

Observe!

Notice how I have maximized the exposure of my fur to the air? This, my friends is how to lounge outside in the heat.

Lounging Advice - Be quick!

When an opportunity presents itself. Take it! When you want to lounge at a certain spot, just do it, before the chance slips away. Here I take advantage of my dad's feet. They are in just the right position for me.

Lounging Advice

As additional advice for those of you looking to perfect your lounging skills, you must remember that the where is not as important as the relaxation. Pick a spot, and then relax all your muscles. The enjoyment comes from relaxing, not from the location.

Tomorrow I will give you another example of perfecting the art of lounging at will.

Humoring Mama

Sometimes humans make you do things because they think it's cute. For instance, my little brother is being given a bath. He's not flexible enough to lick himself clean like I do. Poor little guy has to get a bath a lot!

Then my human mama comes up with the idea that putting me in the bath with him will look cute! Ugh! Can you just see the excitement on my face?

In any case, I humored her for a moment, then I got out.

However, I will admit that any photograph with me in it is obviously cute.

Lounging...or Guarding?

I just posted about how good I am at relaxing. However, did you also realize that I am very good at multi-tasking? This is true. Dogs are inherently good at multi-tasking. For instance, here I am lounging in the hallway.

But wait! Behind that door, my dad is hard at work. While he is working, he can't be disturbed. So while it appears that I am lounging, I am in fact guarding the door so that my dad will be left alone to work.

As I said, I'm good at multi-tasking.

My dog bone blanket

I am a master of relaxation. This is not a boast. I can lounge about with the best of them. Here's a recent photo demonstrating my skill.

Hiding Spot Revealed!

Here's some visual evidence of a new hiding spot only available to dogs with human baby siblings!

Can you see me?

Here's another photo that should help.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to this room all the time. They changed the doorknobs so I can't open them.

However, it's a nice place to rest.

MMMMMmmmmmm...

Even better than the bib! This little brother thing could work out well for me!

I may not be able to make any posts for a while, my Dad is taking the laptop to Atlanta with him.....if he can find it!

Sunday, June 15, 2008

Hmmmm....or should I say mmmmmmm!

So, my mom thinks she is sooooo funny. She thought that since I was licking the bib, that I should wear the bib. I don't think that's how that works, but whatever. I see Luke trying to eat the bib, so I thought I would try it too, and it was tasty! My mom can dress me in the bib all she wants...it's never going to stop me from licking all that yummy food off! Oh, and this was one of the bibs I gave to Luke for Christmas!

Bubbles!

I need to protect my Luke from the evil bubbles! I didn't like these bubbles, but I do like it when my parents blow bubbles from a bubble wand!

Starting June of on the right paw...

...with a post!
So i am finally making a post. I haven't been very good at posting lately, seems like no one wants to help me. I hope that I still have a lot of readers! My Aunt Hana made a post about "three legged dog" imitations and how they run in the family...so I decided to post my three legged dog imitation picture! I have a really neat video clip of me barking at a rabbit, maybe I'll post that later this week! Hope that everyone is having a great summer!

Christmas Plans!

I bought my ticket to Seattle for Christmas!

Airlines are so funny. I bought my ticket to ride in the body of the plane in my crate, but they don't let me keep my humans with me, they have to go up in the peepol hold! So all 3 of them are in 2 seats in the peepol hold. Talk about cramped. It's a good thing Alaska Airlines caters to dogs, because if I had to be cooped up like the humans, that would be a rough trip.

In the meantime, I will be in the lap of luxury, because my parents put a soft towel in my crate for the trip.

Someone has to be the financially savvy one in the family...

...Good thing it's me! I just thought that I would take some time to read this piece of mail that my parents were going to toss out! What would they do with out me? I'm going to propose that all the interest they earn goes to me! Doesn't that sound like a good idea?! Now, if only I could figure out how to get that ball in the bottom left hand corner to play with...then I would be set! And I think there logo should be a dog, not a lion!

Look who came to visit!

Actually I don't know. There was a collar on this dog, but no tags. And I wasn't even here, I was at Petsmart doggie day camp playing with all the other dogs. Maybe this dog will come back and play another time. He better not be trying to steal my cheese!
